In short: If you need money urgently, even a small sum like ₹15,000, and your CIBIL score is low, the fastest options are usually not the cheapest. Try, in order: a salary advance from your employer, a gold loan or a loan against a fixed deposit, borrowing from family with a written plan, and, if your score is 600 or more and you are salaried, a personal loan from a lender that reads your full report. Treat any app that promises “instant cash, no CIBIL check” with suspicion, and never pay a fee before approval.

This guide is about the next 72 hours: how to raise money quickly with a weak score without making things worse. For the full list of lender types that work with low scores, see personal loans for a low or bad CIBIL score.

First, how urgent is “urgent”?

Panic is expensive. Before you open a loan app, spend ten minutes answering three questions, because they decide which option fits.

Due today

Hospital deposit, a bounced EMI about to hit, rent with an eviction threat. You need cash in hours: employer, family, gold, FD, or a credit-card limit you already have.

Due this week

School fees, a repair, a deposit. You have time for a proper personal-loan application, which avoids the worst costs.

Due “soon”, repeatedly

If you need urgent money every month, the problem is the debt structure, not the emergency. See the consolidation section below.

What ₹15,000 for one month really costs

Illustrative cost of borrowing ₹15,000 for 30 days

Salary advance₹0 FD or gold loan≈ ₹150 Card cash withdrawal≈ ₹900 Payday app, rolled≈ ₹6,000

Illustrative assumptions, not quotes: FD or gold loan at 12% a year; card cash withdrawal with a 2.5% fee plus 3.5% a month interest; payday app with a 10% fee plus 1% a day. Bars are proportional. Actual costs vary by lender, so always check the Key Fact Statement.

The gap is not small. The same ₹15,000 can cost almost nothing or close to half its value in a month, depending on where you borrow. Our payday loan guide shows how rollovers make it worse.

The trap: “₹15,000 in 5 minutes, no CIBIL”

Search for an urgent ₹15,000 loan and you will see dozens of apps. Some are legitimate partners of RBI-regulated lenders; many are not. The RBI’s digital lending rules require that you get a Key Fact Statement showing the APR before you sign, that the money moves directly between your account and the regulated lender’s, and that apps cannot access your contacts, call logs or media.

The hook. “No CIBIL, no documents, instant approval.”
The cut. You are approved for ₹15,000 but receive far less after “fees”.
The clock. Full repayment due in 7 days, with daily penalties after that.
The spiral. A second app to repay the first, then a third.

Before you install anything, check that the app appears in the RBI’s directory of digital lending apps, using our step-by-step guide to checking RBI-registered loan apps. If an app threatens you or demands money before disbursal, read how to spot a fake loan app, and report it on the cybercrime helpline 1930 or at cybercrime.gov.in.

Why banks say no, and who looks deeper

Most banks run an automated cut-off, often around 700–750, and an urgent application with a lower score is declined in seconds. Some NBFCs look further. At Omozing, a credit officer reads the whole report: a single late EMI from two years ago, now followed by clean repayments, is read differently from a string of recent defaults. What we need:

Loans run up to ₹25 lakh over 3 to 36 months, with rates starting from 11% a year and a processing fee of 3%–7% plus GST. The exact rate, fees and APR are in your Key Fact Statement before you sign, and we never ask for any fee before approval. If your score is below 600, we are not the right lender today; the secured options above, and our Credit Score Booster, are better next steps.

Getting urgent money the safe way: a checklist

  1. Write down the exact amount and date

Borrow what the emergency needs, not what an app offers. Every extra rupee costs.

  2. Ask the free sources first

HR for a salary advance, family with a dated repayment plan, or your bank against an FD.

  3. Check your score before applying

One look tells you which lenders are realistic, so you don’t collect rejections and enquiries.

  4. Apply to one or two suitable lenders

Keep your bank statement and salary slip ready as PDFs to avoid delays.

  5. Read the KFS before you sign

Compare the APR, total repayment and any foreclosure terms. You have a cooling-off period on digital loans if you change your mind.

If “urgent” keeps happening

If you are borrowing urgently because last month’s app loans are due, a new small loan only moves the problem. SmartSwitch consolidates several short-term app loans into one Omozing loan with one EMI. Illustration: ₹75,000 spread across three apps can cost around ₹30,000 a month in fees and interest when rolled over (10% fee per rollover plus 1% a day), against one EMI of about ₹7,750 for 12 months (illustrative), which keeps roughly ₹3.4 lakh in your pocket over a year. Try your own numbers in the SmartSwitch calculator.

Frequently asked questions

How can I get ₹15,000 urgently with a bad CIBIL score?

The quickest low-cost routes are a salary advance from your employer, a loan against a fixed deposit or gold, or borrowing from family with a written plan. If you are salaried with a score of 600 or more, an NBFC that reads your full report, such as Omozing, may consider a personal loan.

Is there any loan with no CIBIL check?

Secured loans such as gold loans or loans against an FD depend mainly on the asset, not your score. Unsecured loans from regulated lenders always involve a credit check, so be wary of apps that say they don’t check at all.

Is Omozing RBI approved?

Omozing is the digital lending brand of Aparampaar Finance Private Limited, a non-deposit-taking NBFC registered with the RBI. Our regulatory details are on the regulatory disclosures page linked below.

Can I get an urgent personal loan with a CIBIL score below 600?

It is difficult from regulated lenders. Secured options, a co-applicant with a strong record, or an employer advance are more realistic. Work on raising the score to 600 or more to open unsecured options.

How fast can an urgent personal loan be disbursed?

It depends on the lender and how quickly you provide documents and complete verification and e-signing. Having your bank statement and salary slip ready usually saves the most time. Be cautious of anyone promising disbursal before checking anything.

Should I pay a processing fee to get an urgent loan approved?

No. Genuine lenders deduct fees from the disbursed amount after approval and show them in the Key Fact Statement. A demand for money before approval is a common sign of fraud.
