| Interest rate (a year) | 6 months | 12 months | 24 months | 36 months |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 11% | ₹34,411 | ₹17,676 | ₹9,322 | ₹6,548 |
| 14% | ₹34,708 | ₹17,957 | ₹9,603 | ₹6,836 |
| 18% | ₹35,105 | ₹18,336 | ₹9,985 | ₹7,230 |
| 22% | ₹35,505 | ₹18,719 | ₹10,376 | ₹7,638 |
Rates shown are examples to show how rate and tenure change your EMI. They are not an offer. Omozing’s rates start from 11% a year; your rate depends on your credit assessment.
| Interest rate | 6 months | 12 months | 24 months | 36 months |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 11% | ₹6,465 | ₹12,116 | ₹23,718 | ₹35,719 |
| 14% | ₹8,246 | ₹15,489 | ₹30,462 | ₹46,079 |
| 18% | ₹10,630 | ₹20,032 | ₹39,636 | ₹60,297 |
| 22% | ₹13,028 | ₹24,627 | ₹49,015 | ₹74,971 |
Notice how the rate matters more as the tenure gets longer. Over 6 months, the gap between 11% and 22% is about ₹6,600. Over 36 months it is about ₹39,250. On a smaller loan like this one, a shorter tenure is often affordable, and it keeps the interest bill modest.
Your EMI stays the same every month, but what it pays for changes. Early on, a big slice is interest on the full balance. As the balance falls, more of each EMI repays the loan itself.
Bars drawn to scale. In the first 12 months you pay ₹22,179 of the ₹30,462 total interest, about 73%. Illustrative example, not an offer.
This is why timing matters if you plan to prepay. A part-payment in month 4 cuts interest that would otherwise run for 20 more months; the same payment in month 20 saves very little. Check your Key Fact Statement for any prepayment charges first. Prepaying won’t do much for your score directly, but it saves real money. Does paying off a loan early improve my CIBIL score?
Lenders check FOIR, the share of your take-home already going on all EMIs, and many cap it around 50%. Here is what a ₹2 lakh EMI at 11% does on a ₹40,000 take-home, with and without an existing ₹10,000 EMI:
| Tenure | EMI at 11% | FOIR, no other EMIs | FOIR with ₹10,000 other EMIs |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 months | ₹34,411 | 86% | 111% |
| 12 months | ₹17,676 | 44% | 69% |
| 24 months | ₹9,322 | 23% | 48% |
| 36 months | ₹6,548 | 16% | 41% |
Illustrative, on a ₹40,000 take-home. Every decision follows a full credit assessment.
With no other loans, 12 months stays within a 50% limit. With an existing ₹10,000 EMI, 24 months is about the shortest tenure that stays under half your income. How much you can borrow on a ₹40,000 salary.
At Omozing the fee is 3%–7% plus GST, charged once. At 7% it would be ₹14,000 plus ₹2,520 GST. The APR in your Key Fact Statement combines interest and fees into one yearly figure, so compare lenders on APR rather than on the headline rate.
Salaried with a take-home of ₹40,000 or more and a score from 600? Rates start from 11% a year, with 3–36 month tenures and two documents.
Borrow or save first?: Compare borrowing now, saving first, or saving a few months and borrowing only the gap.

Often, yes, depending on your other EMIs and credit report. With no other loans, a 12-month EMI at 11% uses about 44% of a ₹40,000 take-home. Omozing’s minimum take-home is ₹40,000.
