Can you afford the EMI?

Lenders look at FOIR: the share of your take-home pay that goes to EMIs. Many lenders get cautious above 50%, and a lower share leaves you room for everyday costs.

Plan C: borrow the gap

What this means

Omozing offers personal loans of up to ₹25 lakh for salaried people with a take-home of ₹40,000 or more, for 3 to 36 months, with rates starting from 11% a year. The exact APR and fees are shown in your Key Fact Statement before you accept.

Illustrative only. Loan figures assume a fixed rate with equal monthly EMIs, the processing fee paid at the start (lenders often deduct it from the amount paid out) and no other charges. Savings assume a deposit at the start of each month with interest compounded monthly, before tax; real RDs and FDs often compound quarterly and interest is taxable. Rates shown are examples you can change.

About this tool

This free calculator compares three ways to pay for a big moment such as a wedding, Diwali shopping or a holiday: borrowing the full amount now, saving first, or saving for a few months and borrowing only the gap. It shows the EMI, total interest and processing fee, how long saving would take, and what share of your take-home pay the EMI would use.

Frequently asked questions

Is it better to take a personal loan for a wedding or save first?

If the date can move, saving first is almost always cheaper because you pay no interest. If it cannot, saving for a few months and borrowing only the gap usually costs much less than borrowing the full amount.

How much does a ₹5 lakh wedding loan cost?

It depends on the rate, tenure and fee. Use the calculator: enter ₹5,00,000, your tenure and an example rate to see the EMI, total interest and processing fee. Your lender’s Key Fact Statement shows the exact APR.

How much EMI can I afford?

Many lenders look at FOIR, the share of take-home pay going on all EMIs together, and often cap it at around half. The calculator shows your share as you change the loan.

Are the results an offer from Omozing?

No. Results are illustrative and use example rates you can change. Omozing’s rates start from 11% a year, and your actual rate depends on your credit assessment.
