Omozing Answers › Scams and fraud

How do I check a call or message is really from Omozing?

In short: Check what it asks for, then check it yourself. Omozing never asks for your OTP, PIN, CVV or password, never asks for a fee before your loan is approved, and only ever sends loan money to your own bank account. If a call or message does any of those things, it isn’t us. If it looks right but you’re unsure, don’t use the link or number it gives you: type www.omozing.com into your browser yourself, or write to info@omozing.com, and ask.

A 30-second test for any “Omozing” message

Fraudsters borrow the names of real lenders because a familiar name lowers your guard. You don’t need to judge the logo or the tone. Run the message through four questions; one “yes” is enough to stop.

Four questions, one answer

1. Does it ask for an OTP, PIN, CVV or password? 2. Does it ask for a fee before approval? 3. Is money going to someone else’s account? 4. Is the link or email not on omozing.com? Any yes: stop. It isn’t Omozing All no? Still check it yourself. Open www.omozing.com in your browser, or write to info@omozing.com

Question 4 means the web address must be omozing.com itself. Look-alikes that add a word or swap a letter, such as “omozing-offers” or “omoz1ng”, are not ours.

What Omozing will and won’t do

Knowing how a genuine loan from us works makes a fake one easy to spot. Under RBI’s digital lending rules, you see a Key Fact Statement with the APR before you sign, and money moves directly between your bank account and ours.

Omozing willOmozing will never
Ask for two documents: your salary-account bank statement and latest salary slipAsk for your OTP, PIN, CVV or banking password
Show you a Key Fact Statement with the rate, fees and APR before you signAsk for a “processing”, “insurance” or “release” fee before approval
Charge the processing fee (3–7% + GST) only once your loan is approved, as shown in the KFSAsk you to pay into a personal UPI ID or someone else’s account
Send the loan amount only to your own bank accountAsk you to receive the money in someone else’s account
Have a credit officer review your full credit reportPromise “guaranteed approval” whatever your report says
What most people get wrong: they treat a correct logo, a polite tone or their own name and loan amount in the message as proof it’s genuine. All of that is easy to copy or find. What fraudsters can’t fake is what a real lender asks for, so judge the request, not the look.

If you’re still unsure, or you’ve already responded

  1. Contact us through a route you chose

Go to www.omozing.com by typing it in, or email info@omozing.com with a screenshot of the message. Don’t use the link, number or email in the message itself.

  2. Report the message

Report fake calls, SMS and WhatsApp messages on Sanchar Saathi (sancharsaathi.gov.in) under “Chakshu”, even if you lost nothing.

  3. If you shared an OTP or paid anything

Call your bank to block access, then call 1930 or file at cybercrime.gov.in. Your first-hour checklist.

  4. Watch your credit report

If you uploaded PAN or Aadhaar to a fake page, check for enquiries you didn’t make. Can someone take a loan on your PAN?

The same checks work for any lender, bank or credit bureau. For messages claiming to come from a bureau, see Is this call really from CIBIL or Experian? If a “lender” demands money before approval, read the upfront-fee trick.
