Band labels are a general guide. Each lender sets its own cut-offs, and each bureau scores slightly differently.
| Lender type | Typical approach at 650–699 |
|---|---|
| Large banks | Often prefer 700–750+ for unsecured loans; may decline or ask for a co-applicant |
| NBFCs | Many lend in this band after a closer look at income, FOIR and the last 12 months |
| Omozing | Considers salaried applicants from 600 with take-home of ₹40,000+; a credit officer reads the full report |
| Credit cards | Entry-level or secured cards are usually easier than premium cards |

It is fair. Many NBFCs lend at 650, while many banks prefer 700 or more for unsecured loans. Omozing considers salaried applicants from 600.
Yes, with many lenders, especially NBFCs, if your income is steady and your recent repayments are clean. Expect lenders to look closely at the last 12 months.
