Personal loans for high earners (₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh a month)

In short: If you take home ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh a month, Omozing can lend up to ₹25 lakh, unsecured, for 3 to 36 months, with two documents and a fully digital process. Rates start from 11% a year, and the best rates are typically for high, stable incomes and strong credit histories. From about ₹1.7 lakh a month, your salary alone usually supports our full maximum, so the smart questions become how long to borrow for and what the loan is for.

The processing fee is 3%–7% plus GST, and your exact rate, fees and APR are in the Key Fact Statement before you sign. A credit officer reviews your full report and income, so a strong profile is recognised rather than squeezed into a standard band.

How pricing typically improves with income and credit

Lenders price risk. A high, stable salary, a long clean repayment record and low card use all point to lower risk, which is why the best rates typically go to those profiles. The difference is real money, as this example shows.

Bars are to scale. Rates are examples, not an offer; Omozing’s rates start from 11% a year and yours depends on your credit assessment. Excludes the processing fee.

Between 11% and 22% the interest on the same ₹15 lakh differs by ₹2,94,394. Before you apply, check your report for errors and keep card balances low. Does a lower score mean a higher rate?

Five smart ways high earners use a personal loan

A wedding

Large payments land within a few months. A 12–24 month loan spreads them without touching long-term savings.

A home deposit gap

Bridge a shortfall on the down payment, but plan with your home-loan lender: this EMI counts in its FOIR.

Study-abroad deposits

Pay admission deposits and first-term fees on time, then prepay once other funding arrives.

Clearing card balances

₹5 lakh repaid over 12 months at an example card rate of 3.5% a month costs about ₹1,20,904 in interest; at an example 14% a year it is ₹38,723.

Medical costs

Cover what insurance doesn’t, quickly, and repay over a tenure you choose.

What most people get wrong: they treat a credit-card limit as free money and a personal loan as a last resort. A revolving card balance at a monthly rate is usually far dearer than a fixed-term loan, and a loan has an end date. The other mistake is stacking several loans at once; one right-sized loan, kept short and prepaid when a bonus arrives, protects both your FOIR and your next home loan.

One tax note: personal-loan interest is generally not tax-deductible unless the money is used for specific purposes. Speak to a tax adviser before relying on any benefit.

Frequently asked questions

Will I get an 11% rate on a high salary?

Not automatically. Rates start from 11% a year and the best rates are typically for high, stable incomes and strong credit histories; your rate depends on your full assessment.

Can I borrow more than ₹25 lakh?

Not from Omozing. Our maximum is ₹25 lakh; higher limits may be available from other lenders or secured loans.

Can I prepay?

Prepaying from a bonus is a common way to cut interest; check the prepayment terms in your loan agreement first.

Is personal-loan interest tax-deductible?

Generally not, unless the money is used for specific purposes. Speak to a tax adviser.

Do I need a co-applicant?

No. A co-applicant is optional; on these incomes your own salary usually carries the application.
