Omozing Answers › Eligibility

Eligibility is a set of gates. Every lender has the same kinds of gates, but sets them at different heights.
| Gate | Across lenders | At Omozing |
|---|---|---|
| How you earn | Many lend to both salaried and self-employed people, with different documents | Salaried individuals only (for now) |
| Income | Each lender sets its own minimum | Take-home of ₹40,000 or more a month |
| Credit score | No RBI minimum; each lender sets its own | From 600; a credit officer reads the full report |
| Age | Limits vary by lender | The application page lists 21–60 years |
| Affordability | All EMIs kept within a share of take-home, often 40%–50% | Part of the credit assessment |
| Documents | KYC plus proof of income | 6-month salary-account statement, latest salary slip, PAN and Aadhaar |
“Across lenders” describes common practice, not any one lender’s policy.
Two more things shape the answer at most lenders: how long you have been in your job (see how much work experience you need) and how your salary is paid, since a salary credited to a bank account is what lenders can verify.
These are illustrative profiles, not real customers. Each is checked against Omozing’s published criteria.
Income is monthly take-home. Meeting the published criteria lets you apply; it does not guarantee approval.
The lesson: one weak gate decides the outcome, and a strong gate elsewhere doesn’t make up for it.
It gets harder when:
What helps:
Lenders first filter on the published gates, then assess the whole picture: the pattern of salary credits on your statement, how you have repaid past credit, how much of your pay is already committed, and whether your story is consistent across documents. Two lenders with identical gates can still reach different decisions, because each weighs these signals by its own policy.
Omozing offers unsecured personal loans for salaried people. We do not currently lend to self-employed people, business owners or students. You can borrow up to ₹25 lakh over 3 to 36 months, and interest rates start from 11% a year. Co-applicants are welcome: spouse, family members, and even friends.
You meet our published criteria. Check your offer; a credit officer reads your full report, not just the score.
Salaried individuals with a take-home salary of ₹40,000 or more a month and a credit score from 600. Our application page lists an applicant age of 21–60 years, and every loan is subject to credit assessment.
Not at present. We lend only to salaried individuals for now; many other lenders do offer personal loans to self-employed people.
No single score is required across lenders. Omozing considers applicants with a credit score from 600. See minimum scores across lenders.
Usually not on their own, since lenders need a verifiable income. They can sometimes be a co-applicant, though without income they rarely raise the loan amount.
No. Meeting the published criteria lets you apply; approval and the amount depend on a full credit assessment of your report, income and existing EMIs.
